I've been a board-certified neurosurgeon in the United Arab Emirates and South Korea for over 30 years. Since 1995, I've worked with percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy (PELD), performing over 5000 biportal endoscopic surgeries. Currently, I am the executive director of KOMISS and KOSESS and the former chairman of the Korea UBE Society.
Biportal endoscopic surgeries are minimally invasive and have faster recovery time. My vision is to continously innovate and instruct on top of those fundamentals.
To that end, most of my research are on novel techniques; my recent research has been on exTLIF with large cages.
Additionally, I've been invited to host lectures and cadaver workshops in the United States, China, Japan, India, Greece, and many other countries.
My curriculum vitae listing my past and present roles along with conferences I have attended is accessible here.
I have designed and patented various surgical instruments internationally to help decrease cost and increase efficiency for surgeries. This has empirically led to better outcomes for patients.
